Thorlabs' Standard SM-Threaded Kinematic Mounts are designed for stress-free mounting of thin optical components. These mounts have an internally threaded hole with a lip on the back side against which the optic can be secured using the included externally threaded retaining ring.
These mounts offer an angular adjustment range of ±4° (±3° for the KM200T) and are mountable in left- or right-handed orientations. With #8 (M4) counterbored through holes on the back plate, these mounts are compatible with both imperial and metric Ø1/2" posts. The knobs on the KM100T and KM200T are removable, thereby exposing the hex sockets at the end of the lead screws (see the video to the right).

The KM05T(/M) Kinematic Mirror Mount is designed for use with thin Ø1/2" optics up to 0.15" (4 mm) thick. An optic is secured in the mounting hole with the two included SM05RR SM05 (0.535"-40) threaded retaining rings, which can be attached using the SPW603 or SPW603L spanner wrench. This mount is also compatible with SM05-threaded components, including our Ø1/2" Lens Tubes. The KM05T(/M) is post-mountable via two 8-32 (M4) threaded mounting holes to allow for left- or right-handed operation.

The KM100T SM1-Threaded Kinematic Mirror Mount is designed for use with thin Ø1" optics up to 0.14" (3.5 mm) thick. An optic is secured in the mounting hole with the two included SM1RR SM1 (1.035"-40) threaded retaining rings, which can be attached using the SPW602 spanner wrench. This mount is also compatible with SM1-threaded components, including our Ø1" Lens Tubes.
The universal KM100T is compatible with both imperial and metric threaded Ø1/2" mounting posts via #8 (M4) counterbored through holes, and can be attached to the post in a right-handed, left-handed, or upward-facing orientation, as shown in the photos to the right. The mount has removable knobs that expose hex sockets in the lead adjuster screws. The KM100T features two 1/4"-80 adjusters for tip and tilt adjustments. An optional accessory, the LN2580 bronze locking nut, is available to lock the adjusters once the desired position is reached.
Thin Kinematic Mounts are also suitable for mounting fiber collimators utilizing adapters such as the AD11F, as shown above.

An optic is secured in the mounting hole with the two included SM2RR SM2 (2.035"-40) threaded retaining rings, which can be attached with the SPW604 spanner wrench. This mount is also compatible with SM2-threaded components, including our Ø2" Lens Tubes.
The universal KM200T is compatible with both imperial and metric threaded Ø1/2" mounting posts via #8 (M4) counterbored through holes, and can be attached to the post in either a right- or left-handed orientation. These 5/64" Hex Key Adjuster Thumbscrews allow for quick adjustment of many 5/64" and 2 mm hex-driven actuators (or standard actuators with the knobs removed). These temporary knobs can be left in the screw's hex socket between adjustments for convenience (see photo to the right). An 8-32 setscrew (5/64" hex) secures the replaceable hex bit, which can be reversed if the tip is stripped. Contact Tech Support to order replacement hex key bits.
