Features
- Micro V-Clamp with Spring-Actuated Clamping Force
- Stainless Steel Blades Provide Rigidity
- Holds Cylindrical Objects up to Ø2.5 mm
- Miniature Design with Extended Blades Provides Access to Hard-to-Reach Areas in an Optical Setup
- Post Mountable via 8-32 (M4) Tapped Hold in Rear (See Above)
The VK250(/M) post-mountable V-clamp is ideal for holding small (up to Ø2.5 mm) cylindrical objects and GRIN lenses. Its compact design makes the VK250(/M) ideal to use in situations where space or access is limited. When combined with an XYZ translation stage, it can be utilized to position small micro-optics. The steady, spring-loaded stainless steel blades make this miniature clamp very easy to load, and ensures stability when positioning micro-optics for assemblies. It can be mounted directly to our Ø1/2" Posts using the rear 8-32 (M4) mounting hole, as seen above and to the left.

 (posted 2021-09-13 05:33:19.603) Hello,
I would need a clamp for the fabricated waveguides on SiN chips. I would want a mechanical clamp (not vacuum). In this product I cann't adjust the pressure of the clamp on the wafer and maybe it breaks or insert cracks on the wafer. So I am wondering is there any similar product with adjustable pressure for clamping the waveguides/wafers.
Thank you,
Best regards

Most of our V-mounts (https://www.thorlabs.com/navigation.cfm?guide_ID=56) can provide adjustable pressure via the nylon tipped setscrew used to clamp down on the object. The pressure at which it clamps down is adjustable by the end user and depends on the degree in which one screws in the setscrew. Guoqing Wang

(posted 2019-07-02 04:53:24.0) Hello, thank you for contacting Thorlabs. We do not offer this product for larger optic diameters. That being said, our VH1 miniature V-clamp mount would work perfectly for such an application. |
